Terms of service

WriteTheScope is a service of InsyncTech, Florida. Effective 2026-09-20. Plain language on purpose; if a term is unclear, ask: ian@insynctech.io.

1. What the service is

WriteTheScope acts as your company's estimating department for the projects you send us. On each project you send, you engage us to prepare a written scope of work with quantities, unit pricing and totals (the "Scope & Totals PDF") from the photos, notes and measurements you provide. We are engaged on the project; we do not sell estimates by the piece.

2. Fees

The service is billed as a flat monthly retainer sized to your company (the plan you choose). The retainer is flat monthly, month-to-month, cancel any time; the fee does not change with how many estimates you send. Each plan states a monthly capacity; the capacity is a statement of how much work we can carry, not a unit price. If your volume runs past the capacity, we will ask you to move to a larger plan; we do not charge per estimate. The first estimate for any company is free and carries no obligation.

3. Turnaround

Turnaround is measured from the time a complete submission (photos, address, cause of loss, your notes) lands with us, and is stated per plan. If a submission is missing what we need to write it, the clock starts when we have it. We will tell you the same day if something is missing.

4. Your submission

You confirm you have the right to send the photos and information you submit, including any homeowner or claim details, and that you will use the estimate in the ordinary course of your business. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send. We do not visit the site unless separately agreed.

5. The estimate

The Scope & Totals PDF is prepared for your company's review and use. It reflects our professional judgment on the information provided. It is not an adjuster's determination, a coverage opinion, a guarantee of payment by any carrier, or a substitute for your own inspection and judgment on the job. Pricing is drawn from our own line items and unit costs; you may adjust anything before you use it. Every estimate is reviewed and signed off by a person before it is released to you.

6. Ownership

Once released to you, the estimate is yours to use, edit and send on your projects. We keep a copy for our records and to prepare supplements you request. We do not publish your estimates or share them with anyone outside your company, except as the law requires.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Month to month. Cancel before your next billing date and there is no further charge; work already in the queue is finished. Retainer fees for a month already started are not refunded. The free first estimate cannot be refunded because it was never charged.

8. Limits

To the extent the law allows, our liability on any project is limited to the retainer fees you paid for the month in which the estimate was delivered. We are not liable for a carrier's decision, a homeowner's decision, or losses from your use of an estimate we prepared from the information you supplied.

9. Changes

If these terms change, we will post the new date here and email the address on your account. Continuing to send projects after that is acceptance.

10. Governing law

Florida law governs. Any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts serving Sarasota County, Florida.
